Terms of Service

Last updated: July 2, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and Baking It Beautiful ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), covering your use of https://bakingitbeautiful.com and any related content, features, and services (together, the "Site").

By using the Site, you confirm you've read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted means you accept them, so please check back periodically.

The Site is a general-audience food blog. If you're under 18, please use the Site only with the involvement and permission of a parent or guardian, and don't submit comments or subscribe without their consent.

2. Our content and intellectual property

Unless noted otherwise, everything on the Site — recipes, photographs, text, graphics, videos, designs, logos, and the software that runs the Site (the "Content") — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

You're welcome to view the Content and print or save a copy for your own personal, non-commercial use. Beyond that, you may not copy, reproduce, republish, sell, or otherwise exploit any of the Content for commercial purposes without our written permission. We reserve all rights we don't expressly grant you.

If you'd like to share a recipe, please link back to the original post rather than republishing it in full, and always credit Baking It Beautiful. Recipes themselves (the list of ingredients and basic steps) generally aren't protected by copyright, but our photos, headnotes, and written text are — please don't copy those.

3. Your responsibilities

By using the Site, you agree that:

  • You have the legal capacity to accept these Terms, or you're using the Site with a parent or guardian's permission.
  • You'll use the Site only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms.
  • You won't use bots, scrapers, or other automated tools to access, copy, or harvest content or data from the Site, except for standard search-engine indexing.
  • You won't try to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Site, its servers, or its security features.
  • You won't upload viruses or malicious code, or otherwise attempt to harm the Site or its users.
  • You won't collect other users' names or email addresses to send unsolicited messages.
  • You won't impersonate anyone or misrepresent your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • You won't use the Site to harass, abuse, or harm others, or to post unlawful, infringing, or objectionable material.

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these Terms.

4. Comments and other contributions

The Site lets you post comments and other content ("Contributions"). Comments are public, so treat anything you post as non-confidential.

When you post a Contribution, you confirm that:

  • It's yours, or you have the rights to post it, and it doesn't infringe anyone else's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights.
  • It's not false, misleading, unlawful, or spam.
  • It's not obscene, hateful, harassing, threatening, or otherwise abusive.
  • It doesn't violate any law or the rights of others.

You keep ownership of your Contributions. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, adapt, and distribute your Contributions in connection with operating and promoting the Site — for example, showing your comment on the page or quoting it elsewhere on the Site.

We're not responsible for Contributions posted by users, and we don't have to monitor them. That said, we may edit, remove, or refuse any Contribution at our discretion — for instance, to remove spam or content that breaks these Terms.

5. Advertising and affiliate links

We display advertising on the Site, including ads served through Google AdSense and its partners. Advertisers are responsible for their own ads and the products or services they promote. We provide the ad space; we're not responsible for advertisers' products, services, or claims. How we handle advertising data — and how you can control ad cookies — is explained in our Privacy Policy.

We also participate in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program and may use other affiliate programs. This means we may earn a commission when you click certain links and make a purchase, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships never change our editorial opinions — we only recommend things we genuinely like.

6. Recipes and results

We share our recipes and tips in good faith and want them to work for you. That said, results vary with ingredients, equipment, altitude, and technique, so we can't guarantee your outcome. You're responsible for safe food-handling practices and for checking ingredients against any allergies or dietary needs. Our Content is for general informational purposes and isn't professional nutritional, dietary, or medical advice — please consult a qualified professional for that.

7. Third-party links and content

The Site may link to third-party websites and content we don't control. We offer these links for convenience and don't endorse or take responsibility for third-party sites, their content, or their privacy practices. If you follow a link off the Site, you do so at your own risk and these Terms no longer apply. Any purchase you make on a third-party site is between you and that third party.

8. Copyright complaints

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, email us at hello@bakingitbeautiful.com and include: (1) a description of the copyrighted work you say is infringed; (2) the exact location (URL) of the material on the Site; (3) your contact information; (4) a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized; and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and you're the copyright owner or authorized to act for them. We'll review and respond appropriately, including removing infringing material.

9. Site management and availability

We may (but don't have to) monitor the Site for violations, take appropriate action against anyone who breaks these Terms, and remove or restrict content or access to keep the Site running properly.

We may also change, update, or remove content, or modify or discontinue any part of the Site, at any time without notice. We aim to keep the Site available but can't guarantee it always will be — there may be interruptions for maintenance or technical issues beyond our control. We're not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by the Site being unavailable.

10. Disclaimer

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." YOUR USE OF THE SITE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE MAKE NO WARRANTY THAT THE SITE OR ITS CONTENT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE, RELIABLE, OR ERROR-FREE, AND WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PRODUCTS OR SERVICES ADVERTISED OR OFFERED BY THIRD PARTIES THROUGH THE SITE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY INDIRECT, CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SITE — EVEN IF WE'VE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. SOME STATES DON'T ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability or right that can't legally be limited or waived.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of the Site, your Contributions, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.

13. Term and termination

These Terms stay in effect while you use the Site. We may deny access to the Site to anyone, at any time and for any reason, including for violating these Terms. If we end your access, you may not create a new account to get around that.

14. Governing law

These Terms and your use of the Site are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

15. Dispute resolution

Let's talk first. If a dispute arises between you and us, we agree to try to resolve it informally first. Please email us at hello@bakingitbeautiful.com and give us at least 30 days to work it out before starting any formal proceeding.

Binding arbitration. To the fullest extent permitted by law, if we can't resolve a dispute informally, it will be settled by binding arbitration rather than in court, administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules (or its Commercial Rules where those apply). This means you're giving up the right to a jury trial. The arbitration will take place in Salt Lake County, Utah, or be conducted remotely, and either of us may ask a court to enforce the arbitrator's decision.

No class actions. To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes will be handled individually, not as part of a class or representative action.

Exceptions. Either of us may still bring a claim in small-claims court, or go to court to protect intellectual property rights or to seek an injunction. Any dispute must be started within one year after it arises, except where a longer period is required by law and can't be waived.

If the arbitration or class-action terms above are found unenforceable, that part is severed and any remaining dispute will be decided by the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

16. Corrections

The Site may occasionally contain typos, errors, or omissions. We may correct these and update information at any time without notice.

17. Electronic communications

By using the Site, emailing us, or submitting a form, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, and you agree that electronic agreements, notices, and records satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.

18. Miscellaneous

These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site. If we don't enforce a provision, that's not a waiver of our right to do so later. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, employment, or agency relationship between you and us.
